Valeo was founded in 1923 by Eugen Buisson. Over 80 years of Valeo's corporate activities have resulted in many innovative technological solutions used in the automotive industry. Initially, Valeo's strength was a small car workshop located in Saint-Ouen, France, where brake shoe friction linings and clutch components were produced. In a short time, the offer was expanded to include the production of clutches. A turning point in the company's history was the takeover of SEV-Marchal in 1970. This made it possible to enter the field of electrical systems and then automotive electrics.
