Regulator with MOSFET technology
For many years, regulators have been using semiconductor elements based on on silicon (SCR) to short-circuit excess energy from the generator to ground, thereby maintaining a relatively constant voltage in the vehicle's electrical system and battery. This solution turned out to be suitable for small and medium-power generators in combustion engines. However, the new regulator technology based on MOSFET transistors (Metal-Oxide Semiconductor Field-Effect Transistor) is becoming more and more popular due to better efficiency, lower losses and many other interesting features.
