TPS652353 LNB Voltage Regulator Texas Instruments TPS652353 LNB Voltage Regulator was designed for analog and digital satellite receivers. The TPS652353 is a regulator with an I2C interface that is specifically designed to provide the 13V to 18V power supply and the 22kHz tone signal to the LNB down-converter in the antenna dish or to the multi-switch box. The device offers a complete solution with a minimum component count, low power dissipation, together with a simple design and I2C standard interface. The TPS652353 features high power efficiency. The boost converter integrates a 140mΩ power MOSFET running at 1MHz or 500kHz selectable switching frequency. Drop out voltage at the linear regulator is 0.8V to minimize power loss. The TPS652353 provides multiple ways to generate the 22kHz signal. An integrated linear regulator, with a push-pull output stage, generates a 22kHz tone signal superimposed at the output even at zero loading. The current limit of the linear regulator can be programmed by an external resistor, with ±10% accuracy. The full range of diagnostic read by I2C is available for system monitoring. The TPS652353 has a special design at Forced PWM mode to avoid the audible noise, especially when VIN is higher or closer to the VLNB output. The TPS652353 supports advanced DiSEqC 2.x standard with a 22kHz tone detection circuit and output interface.
