The MCP2221 converter integrates USB termination resistors and the oscillator needed for USB operation. This converter comes with four GP pins that provide miscellaneous functionalities. These functionalities include GPIO, USBCFG, SSPND, Clock Output, ADC, DAC, interrupt detector.
