SC16 UART Interface ICs with FIFOs & IrDA NXP Semiconductors SC16 UART Interface ICs with FIFOs & IrDA are single-channel Universal Asynchronous Receiver and Transmitters (UART) which offer data rates up to 5Mbit/s. NXP Semiconductors SC16 UART Interface ICs offer enhanced UART functions with FIFOs and infrared (IrDA) support. The SC16C850IBS with Intel (16 mode) or Motorola (68 mode) bus host interface operates at 2.5 to 3.3V and is available in a very small (Micro-UART) HVQFN32 package. The SC16IS740 is a slave I²C-bus/SPI interface to a high performance UART in very small TSSOP16 package, which guarantees low operating and sleeping current.
