The RASMID technology offers a superior dimensional accuracy (less than ±10um), making it possible to develop smaller products. ROHM Semiconductor RASMID Transient Voltage Suppressor Diodes are bidirectional with an ESD protection level of ±8kV. TVS diodes are used in a variety of circuits for miniaturized and enhanced electronic devices that require sophisticated protection elements. When transient voltages and currents are generated in the circuit, they are absorbed by the actions of the TVS, but low clamp TVS are required to further reduce the load on the protected application. Such applications are cellular handsets and accessories, portable electronics, data lines, and audio and video equipment.
