PWA 500mW Thin Film Power Resistors Vishay PWA 500mW Thin Film Power Resistors offer a 500mW power rating in a small 0.762mm x 1.143mm (0.030' x 0.045') chip size. They provide a resistance range of 0.3Ω to 1MΩ in a 0503 case size. These wire-bondable resistor chips utilize an oxidized silicon substrate for good power dissipation as well as a tantalum nitride, self-passivating resistor material. They are manufactured using Vishay Electro-Films (EFI) sophisticated thin film equipment and manufacturing technology. Vishay PWA 500mW Thin Film Power Resistors are also electrically tested and visually inspected to MIL-STD-883, method 2032, class H or class K. They are RoHS compliant and Pb free. The PWA resistors are used mainly in higher power circuits of amplifiers where increased power loads require a more specialized resistor.
