The component is intended for use in aircraft and was also used in the American Apollo program.

The component works like a regular toggle switch with two sets of switched contacts.

The switch is equipped with an additional coil, which keeps the switch in the on position as long as there is voltage on the coil contacts.

Of course, the switch can be turned off manually.

The use of such a system prevents unplanned switching on of the systems after a power failure.

All switches then return to the off position.

The component is also completely hermetized.

It is located in a metal housing filled with inert gas.
