Principle of operation :

1. Air enters from the bottom of the dome through an inlet screen, which prevents dirt larger than the width of the discharge slot from entering the dome.

2. Curved rotor blades throw debris into the outer orbit of the toroidal dome.

3. Guides on the inner surface of the dome catch contaminants heavier than air and move them towards the discharge slot.

4. Clean air continues to flow upwards until the dome shape refracts the air flow and directs it to the engine air intake opening.
