Sikaflex 252 assembly adhesive 300ml white * Product code: 4S-2602
APPLICATION
Sikaflex® - 252 is used for structural joints exposed to high dynamic loads. Materials that can be effectively and permanently joined are: wood, various types of metals, primed metals, metals covered with varnish coatings, ceramic materials and plastics. Due to the possibility of stress cracks in transparent materials, manufacturers' recommendations should be followed. It is recommended to carry out tests for the current conditions and selected surfaces to ensure adhesion and proper selection of materials.
CURING MECHANISM
Sikaflex® - 252 hardens by reacting with the moisture contained in the air. At low temperatures, the water content in the air is generally lower, so the hardening process is slower.
CHEMICAL RESISTANCE
Sikaflex® - 252 is resistant to fresh and sea water and weather conditions. It is resistant to fuels and mineral oils, vegetable and animal fats for a short time. It is not resistant to organic acids and alcohols, concentrated alkalis and mineral acids and solvents. The above information are general guidelines, detailed recommendations are available from the manufacturer.
APPLICATION METHOD
surface preparation - The surfaces of the sealed elements must be clean, dry and free from dust and grease. The adhesion of the sealant can be improved by using Sika® Cleaner 205 (degreasing and activating agent) and possibly an appropriate Sika® Primer.
APPLICATION
Sikaflex® - 252 should be applied using a manual or pneumatic extrusion gun. Cut the tip of the nozzle dispensing the mass according to the desired thickness of the sealant layer. When applying, do not allow air to be trapped under the Sikaflex mass. Once opened, the package should be used as quickly as possible. During operation, the joined elements and Sikaflex mass should be between +15 and 25℃. Do not apply the mass at ambient temperatures below 5℃ or above 35℃. Information on the appropriate selection of a device for applying the mass is available in the Technical Department of SIKA Industry.
CLEANING
The hardened adhesive can only be removed mechanically. Hands and skin contaminated with the mass should be immediately cleaned using Sika® Handclean towels or another industrial cleaning agent and water. Do not use solvents!
IMPORTANT
All technical information is based on laboratory tests. In practice, measurement results may not be identical due to circumstances beyond the manufacturer's control. Glue color: white. The adhesive is ideal for connecting mounting elements to the camper roof.
