Victron Energy BMV-712 Smart Bluetooth Battery Status MonitorThe Victron Energy battery charge status monitor is an advanced microprocessor system for controlling the amount of battery energy, connected to an extensive system of voltage, charging and discharging current measurements. Puekert's formula, an advanced algorithmic function, determines the exact state of battery charge. Depending on the current need, the display shows information on battery voltage, current, ampere-hours consumed and the time remaining until full discharge. BMV-702 also allows you to measure the voltages of two battery banks simultaneously and exchange data with a computer via the VE.Port interface. An additional advantage is easy connection with the components provided in the set.

The charge indicator is not everything

The remaining capacity of the battery depends on the ampere-hours used, discharge current, temperature and age of the battery. The ALGORIT complex of HMS software is needed to take all these variables into account. In addition to basic display options such as voltage, current and amp-hour consumption, the BMV-700 series also displays state of charge and power consumption in watts. The BMV-702 has an additional input that can be programmed to measure voltage (battery seconds), temperature or mid-point voltage.

Management by phone and Victron Connect application

The 712 model is additionally equipped with a BlueTooth interface. After installing the Victron Connect application on the phone, which can be downloaded from the Play Store or ApStore, we can enjoy very detailed information about the operation of our photovoltaic system.

VE.Direct connector

Thanks to the built-in VE.Direct connector, it is possible to connect the device with Color Control GX and present work results on a color display.

Ease of installation

All electrical connections are made to quick PCB connectors on the current shunt. The shunt connects to the monitor via a standard RJ12 telephone cable. The kit includes: RJ 12 cable (10m) and battery cable with fuse (1.5m), no other components are needed. Also included is a separate front cover for the round display, a retaining ring for the rear mount and screws for the front mount.

Easy to program

Menu Quick installation and a detailed settings menu with scrolling texts supports the user as they navigate through the various settings. Detailed information can be found in the manual.
