The 200W Maxx solar panel is made of high-quality monocrystalline silicon cells. It is mounted in a light, black aluminum frame, which gives a very pleasant visual effect. The frame has special mounting holes that facilitate the installation of the panel on a caravan, camper or bus. Specially hardened glass protects the photovoltaic module against any damage and ensures high absorption of solar radiation, which clearly translates into increased efficiency of the solar battery.
Monocrystalline panels are made of silicon, which has an ordered structure, which makes it more efficient and effective. This means that the same energy can be produced in a smaller area. Thanks to this, monocrystalline modules have slightly higher efficiency than polycrystalline panels. For example, polycrystalline panels have an efficiency of around 16%, and monocrystalline panels are around 18%. Due to these properties, they are also slightly more expensive than polycrystalline panels.
The cells of monocrystalline panels range in color from dark blue to black. The production of a monocrystalline cell takes longer, requires higher temperatures, but thanks to this we gain greater efficiency of the cell.
