HALFCUT technology Greater power Manufacturers are increasingly trying to improve the products they offer. One of the improvements is the technology of cut tiles. This way of arranging silicon wafers increases the efficiency and class of the panel. Literally speaking, we are able to obtain greater module power from the same size. This is why high-power panels are available in half-cut technology. Lower module power losses. This is not the end of the advantages. One of the biggest advantages is much lower power loss compared to standard panels. A silicon wafer cut in half is much smaller, so it generates much lower current. This is directly proportional to its size. Takeoffs, however, are strongly dependent on resistance. In half-cut module technology, it is up to 5 times smaller than in traditional technology. This is certainly the biggest advantage. Ultimately, the module generates smaller losses, which translates into higher efficiency and yield per installed m2.

Reduced risk of shading. Half-cut modules have another advantage that is worth mentioning. They are less exposed to the risk of shadowing in the face of traditional technologies. And we don't mean shading caused by a nearby tree or other object. Often, when we mention this to clients, they assure us that there are no elements causing shading near the planned investment. Unfortunately, most of us forget about the atmospheric effects that can cause shading. An example would be snow.

In half-cut modules we will find more bypass diodes. This results directly from the structure of the module. The panel is divided into two parts. The upper part and the lower part. Both are connected in parallel, and a separate shunt diode is responsible for their operation, so that they can also work independently of each other. Additionally, each part has its own rows of connected boards, which are also protected by separate diodes. Most often, 20 silicon wafers. This allows for separate operation of the series inside the upper and lower parts.

BATTERY CHARGING TIMEThe table below presents the time needed to charge batteries available on the market depending on the power of the photovoltaic system.

Solar battery without problem, it will charge a 100 Ah battery in less than 6 hours from full discharge!!!

NOTE: the set does not include a battery. We recommend a gel or acid battery of at least 100Ah for this set. Of course, you can use a smaller one, but the amount of stored energy will be smaller and the service life will be shortened. Generally, the larger the battery, the better.

The charge controller controls the battery charging process and protects it against excessive charging or discharging.
