SHELL GADUS S2 V220 2capacity 0.4 KG
Previous product name: Shell Alvania EP (LF) 2, Shell Retinax EP 2
Shell Gadus S2 V220 is a high-quality, multi-purpose grease with a mineral base with a high viscosity index and a lithium thickener. Contains anti-wear additives and other additives ensuring a wide range of applications. Shell Gadus S2 V220 are designed for the general purpose lubrication of piston and plain bearings, joints and sliding surfaces found in many industrial and transportation applications.
Application
Shell Gadus S2 V220 2 is intended for:
Highly loaded bearings and general industrial applications.
Rolling and sliding bearings operating under heavy/shock loads, at high temperatures and in the presence of water.
Operating in the temperature range -20 - 100 [°C] for bearings operating at 75% of the maximum speed, and periodically up to 120 [°C].
Properties
Excellent load-bearing properties Shell Gadus S2 V220 contains specially selected anti-wear additives that maintain the lubricant film even under high or shock loads.
improved mechanical stability. Greases do not change their consistency even in the event of vibrations. This ensures excellent lubricating properties and prevents grease from leaking from the bearings.
Good resistance to washing out with water. Shell Gadus S2 V220 is resistant to washing out with water.
Oxidation resistance Specially selected fractions of the oil base have excellent resistance to oxidation. Their consistency does not change during storage and they are able to operate at high temperatures without hardening or deposits.
Corrosion resistance Shell Gadus V220 has an affinity for metal surfaces and therefore protects bearing surfaces against corrosion, even when the grease is contaminated with water.
Specifications
ASTM D4950-08 LB Meets British Timken specifications (rolling mill applications).
Replacement frequency
For bearings operating close to the maximum recommended temperatures, the relubrication frequency should be controlled.
Occupational safety
Shell Gadus S2 V220 grease does not pose a hazard when properly used application and maintaining good standards of personal and industrial hygiene. More information regarding Health and Safety can be found in the Safety Data Sheet.
Advice
The grease must not come into contact with the rubber elements of hydraulic brakes.
