SEVCON MOTOR SPEED CONTROLLER The Sevcon motor speed controller is a microprocessor designed for the express purpose of operating a DC electric motor at various speeds. The controller uses Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) technology on the ground side of the motor to control the motor speed. In addition to ensuring operator safety and preventing short circuits, the controller monitors some circuits for potential abnormalities. When the controller detects a problem, it goes to the safety side and stops all engine operation. The green LED will flash a code indicating the reason for the shutdown.
