The device has an output short-circuit protection circuit, an over-current protection circuit, and a thermal shutdown circuit. These are in addition to the basic regulator circuits. The operating temperature range is from -40°C to +105°C, and the maximum input voltage is 36V. These features allow the R1524N to become an ideal power source for electric home appliances. The output voltages are internally fixed at either of the following: 1.8V, 2.5V, 2.8V, 3.0V, 3.3V, 3.4V, 5.0V, 5.5V, 6.0V, 6.4V, 8.0V, 8.5V, or 9.0V. The output voltage accuracy is ±0.6%.
