Description
PIR Breakout Boards SparkFun PIR Breakout Boards are simple boards equipped with EKM-series PIR sensors from Panasonic®. The Passive Infrared (PIR) sensors are great for detecting motion in a small area around the sensor. These EKMB-series PIR sensors are optimized for small movements to offer motion-sensing options for battery-powered applications due to the very low standby current consumption. The PIR sensors on these breakouts output a digital signal whenever a moving object is detected in the sensing area. That signal can be monitored by a microcontroller to trigger action on a connected device.
