The housings of these PCB headers incorporate polarization and keying features to prevent misalignment and mismating with the receptacle. A positive locking mechanism provides a secure connection with the mating receptacle and prevents accidental unmating caused by excessive shock or vibration. An audible click indicates that the connector is fully mated. For a secure connection to the PCB versions of these Mini-Fit Junior PCB headers are available with snap-in plastic PCB peg locks.
