The fully shrouded housings of these AMP CT SMT headers protect the contacts from scooping during the mating and unmating of the connector. These AMP CT headers have polarization and mating retention features for an accurate and secure connection to the mating cable connector. Solder tabs on either side of the connector housing help provide a secure connection to the PCB. Versions of these AMP CT SMT headers feature PCB locating bosses which enable accurate alignment of the header onto the PCB.
