Nexen Tire Corporation is a Korean tire manufacturer based in Yangsan in South Gyeongsang Province and Seoul in South Korea. It was established in 1942 under the name Heung-A Tire Company.

In 1985, Nexen dedicated a plant in Yangsan, Korea to the production of radial tires.

In 2000, the company changed its name from Woosung Tire to Nexen Tire Corporation. In the same year, Nexen Tire was listed on the KOSPI 200 Index futures market. In 2005, Nexen Tire obtained a patent for the technology of producing tires from a rubber-silicate nanocomposite. By 2006, work on the new UHP and Winter LTR/SUV design was completed. To meet the increased demand, in 2007 the company opened a production facility in Qingdao, China. Nexen's domestic market share has increased from 8% to 20%, with annual sales exceeding $600 million.
