TPS7B81/TPS7B81-Q1 LDO Linear Regulator Texas Instruments TPS7B81/TPS7B81-Q1 Low-Dropout (LDO) Linear Regulator is designed for up to 40V VIN applications. With only a 2.7µA typical quiescent current at light load, the device is an optimal solution for powering microcontrollers. It can also power controller area network (CAN) and local interconnect network (LIN) transceivers in standby systems. The TPS7B81-Q1 features integrated short-circuit and overcurrent protection. The device operates in ambient temperatures from –40°C to +125°C and with junction temperatures from –40°C to +150°C. This regulator is available in several packages of varying sizes and thermal conductivity. The small WSON package facilitates the most compact PCB design, and the TO-252 package enables sustained operation despite significant dissipation across the device. These features make the device well-suited as a power supply for various battery-connected automotive applications. The Texas Instruments TPS7B81-Q1 devices are AEC-Q100 qualified for automotive applications.
