The composition of the mixture and the density of the damping mass have changed. The aluminum layer (embossing) is also new, which is soft and easy to install. Thanks to this, it has increased resistance to cracks during installation.

The curves show the vibration acceleration recorded on the measuring instrument. The shorter the vibration time, the fewer sound intensity units in dB.

Simply put, the fewer vibrations, the less noise!

(2) PIMOT research confirms the effectiveness of Bitmat materials from the AB series.

By sticking the mat on a selected element of the car, it dampens the vibrations of the sheet metal, which translates into a decrease in noise in the low frequency range, which is the most difficult to eliminate. Sound-deadening foams eliminate medium and high frequencies.

A properly soundproofed car provides excellent insulation of the cabin from outside sounds and, in addition, better sensations from the car audio system (stiffening the body elements affects the propagation of low tones inside the cabin - it creates a better sound pressure).

The graphs show the difference in noise in Skoda Octavia (auto1) and Mazda 6 (auto2) before and after soundproofing.

The use of AB-2/25 butyl mat and Bitmat foams (available on our other auctions ) contributed to a decrease in the sound by up to a few decibels, thanks to which the noise was reduced by as much as 50%!

How to soundproof a car? The best results can be achieved by using alubutyl in combination with rubber foams, creating a two-layer acoustic barrier against vibrations and noise. First, we apply the AB-25 butyl mat ( or other AB/StP - available on our other auctions) for each metal element, mapping it to the shape of the sheet metal

The second layer is a rubber waterproof foam - rubber foam (available on our other auctions)

Why several layers?

The butyl mat stiffens the body, creates a barrier to noise, eliminates resonance, rumbling and humming.

Rubber foam isolates against noise and high frequencies.

Installation advice▶️ Clean the soundproofing surface well with white spirit or remover

▶️ Cut the mat butyl mat to specific dimensions and stick it on the selected body element.

▶️ Roll out the butyl mat thoroughly with a roller - the roller is available on our other auctions

The butyl mat must be rolled out all the way and kneaded to the shape of the sheet metal.
