Infrared Transceivers Vishay Semiconductors Infrared Transceivers are small-profile Infrared Data Association (IrDA) compliant transceivers. These transceivers enable short-distance wireless data communication and support data rates up to 115kbit/s. The infrared transceivers consist of a PIN photodiode, infrared emitter, and control IC in a single package. These transceivers feature transmission distances from 1 meter to 50 centimeters and 75µA idle low current consumption at 3.6V. The infrared transceivers come with a split power supply that allows the emitter to be driven by a separate power supply. These transceivers are available in six variants such as TFBR4650, TFBS4650, TFBS4652, TFBS4711, TFDU4101, and TFDU4301. The infrared transceivers are lead-free and are capable of lead-free processing. Typical applications include data collection, medical, vending, Point-of-Sale (POS), and access control.
