Thin Film Platinum Temperature Detector Elements YAGEO Nexensos Thin Film Platinum Temperature Detector Elements are constructed by depositing a sensing layer of platinum on a ceramic substrate. Thin film elements offer the advantages of small size and a wide choice of resistance values ranging from 6.8Ω to 10000Ω. The types of elements offered differ primarily by operating temperature range. Requirements for most applications can be met with the M-type elements, having platinum-coated nickel lead wire and operating at a temperature range of -70°C to +500°C. The L-type elements are constructed with highly-solderable AgPd lead wires and operate at temperatures from -50°C to +400°C. Other YAGEO Nexensos options include C-type elements for lower temperatures (196°C to +500°C) and the HM, HL, and HD-types providing an extended high-temperature operating range, up to +850°C.
