Cover seals EC type are static seals and are intended mainly for sealing technological holes or under intermediate shaft bearings in the bodies of all types of mechanical transmissions. The seal consists of two parts:

- metal made of deep-drawn steel sheet protected against corrosion with a chromate or phosphate layer.

- rubber made of nitrile rubber, which permanently covers the metal part from the outside on its entire surface or partially.

The cover seal is made with an external diameter larger than the socket to which it is mounted. The resulting clamp holds the seal in the installation, ensuring its static tightness.
