To convert a double-acting cylinder into a single-acting one, simply select a bleeder with an appropriate thread and screw it into one of the two hydraulic outputs on the actuator.

Usually it is the upper exit, from the piston rod side.

The actuator converted in this way will work as a single-sided actuator.
