Seger/Seeger spring retaining rings are designed to protect machine parts such as bearings, bushings against axial movement, discs, gears mounted on shafts and axles. The ring has an eccentric shape and presses evenly with its entire circumference to the grooved shafts. It is installed and disassembled axially using special pliers that use holes at its ends.
