LM74502x/LM74502x-Q1 RPP Controller Texas Instruments LM74502x/LM74502x-Q1 Reverse Polarity Protection (RPP) Controller operates in conjunction with external back-to-back connected N-channel MOSFETs. This feature is done to realize a low loss reverse polarity protection and load disconnect solution. The device can also be configured to drive high-side MOSFET as a load switch with overvoltage protection. The wide supply input range of 3.2V to 65V allows control of many popular DC bus voltages such as 12V, 24V, and 48V input systems. The device can withstand and protect the loads from negative supply voltages down to –65V. The LM74502x/LM74502x-Q1 does not have reverse current blocking and is suitable only for input reverse polarity protection.
