Description
MP5048 Hot-Swap Controller Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) MP5048 Hot-Swap Controller contains a high-side MOSFET and circuitry to operate as a standalone device. I can also be controlled by a hot-swap controller. The MP5048 is capable of driving up to 15A of continuous current per MP5048 device. The device limits the inrush current to the load when a circuit card is inserted into a live backplane power source. This limits the backplane’s voltage drop. The MP5048 also limits the internal MOSFET current by controlling the gate voltage through the current-limit reference input.
