Stomil SANOK belongs to Sanok Rubber Company (formerly Sanokie Zakłady Przemysłu Gumowego "Stomil Sanok") - rubber industry plants in Sanok.

The company has one of the longest traditions in Poland. The first factory was established as a private enterprise in 1931 during the Second Polish Republic and the official date of establishment was January 24, 1932.

In 1950, the "Stomil" Rubber Industry Plant in Sanok was taken over by the State under the name Sanockie Zakłady Przemysłu Gumowego.

In 1970, the factory was named Zakłady Przemysłu Gumowego "Stomil" and in 1976 the production of V-belts was launched under the license of the American company Gates.

In the 1970s, ZPG "Stomil" transferred approximately 70% of rubber products to the Small Car Factory "Polmo" Bielsko-Biała, including some seals for the Fiat 126p model.

The company was restructured and privatized in the early 1990s.
