Product description: There are two main types of fuel filters available on the market, the first one is adapted to work with gasoline engines , and the other with diesel engines. Their task is to clean the fuel from any impurities and, in the case of compression-ignition engines, also from water that causes engine corrosion. Due to the purpose of the filter, various filter materials are used, such as special polyester nonwoven fabrics or tissue paper based on cellulose fibers impregnated with resins with the addition of synthetic fibers. A clogged fuel filter blocks the free flow of fuel to the engine, causing difficulties in starting the engine, loss of power, and loss of smooth operation. and increased fuel consumption, as well as reduced fuel or injection pump performance. A clogged filter may also result in fuel leaking from the exhaust pipe, unpleasant smell of oil and smoke in the exhaust pipe. It is recommended to replace the fuel filter once a year or according to the manufacturer's recommendations.
