Versatile Link DC-50MBd Transmitters & Receivers Broadcom Versatile Link DC-50MBd Transmitters and Receivers are intended for use with 1mm Plastic Optical Fiber (POF) and Hard Clad Silica (HCS) Fiber. No optical design is required because the specifications include any connector losses at the transmitter and at the receiver. Versatile Link DC-50MBd Fiber Optic Transmitters each use a 650nm LED source with integrated optics and driver IC for efficient coupling. The Versatile Link Receivers each consist of an IC with an integrated photodiode to produce a logic compatible output. The transmitter input and receiver output are compatible with TTL logic families. These transmitters and receivers operate any type of signal from DC up to 50MBd at distances up to 50 meters with 1mm POF.
