* HYSOFIX 770-2 is a thermosetting adhesive, based on a mixture of phenolic resin and modifiers, without the content of hazardous solvents.

* This adhesive can be used in bonding processes of various types of claddings (especially those containing more than 10% graphite) with metal elements due to its physical properties, it should be applied mechanically.

Physical properties * Amber color

* Volume 32-38%

* Density 0.9-0.96 g/m3

Gluing cycle * Information included in the method points application, observations and cycle curve.

Vulcanization * Hysofix 770-2 glue vulcanizes in about 12 minutes at a temperature of about 170°C with a constant pressure of 10 kg/cm3

Resistance to solvents * After vulcanization, the glue does not dissolve in water or hydraulic fluid and other chemical products used in the automotive industry, as well as in alcohol and ketones

Methods of application * The metal surface must be sandblasted and degreased with acetone (the sandblasting process increases the mechanical adhesion to the overall surface)

* Apply a thin layer of glue to the cladding surface. The thickness of the adhesive must be between 30-40 micrometers

* Let the material dry (at room temperature for a minimum of 8 hours or e.g. at 80°C/10 min) The binder must not be sticky, but dry and completely soluble in the solvent (form: soft rubber).

*Elements should be joined together with constant pressure ranging between 8/10 kg per cm³ (flexible linings) or 12/15 kg per cm (rigid linings). It is important to maintain constant pressure during the entire bonding cycle (until cooling)

*The maximum temperature value during the bonding process should be 185 C, a higher temperature may cause instability of the entire process as a consequence of a decrease in shear loads

Features of the binder*Adhesion is usually greater than the cohesion of the friction material, both at room temperature and at the maximum temperature used in the tests

Flashpoint*This glue is flammable

*Do not use near open flame. Its flash point is 17°C

Solvents * It is not advisable to dilute this product when used in mechanical application.

* Dilution is only advisable if a significant increase in viscosity occurs during use of the application roller (due to natural evaporation of the solvent)

*The product can be diluted with MEK/ethanol/methanol/isopropanol. The same solvents can be used to clean equipment or the workplace

Storage * Hysofix 770-2 adhesive should be stored in a well-closed package, in a dry and properly ventilated place (at a temperature between 4 and 25°C)

* The durability of the adhesive is 12 months from production date.
