Transport belt with tensioner - characteristics Two-part transport belt with a load capacity of 4 tons and a 50 mm wide belt is used mainly to secure heavy loads during transport on trucks. It is used wherever transport belts with a belt width of 25 mm and 35 mm are not suitable due to their insufficient strength. The 4-ton transport belt is made of two parts: a short one - which has a tensioner and ends with a hook, and a long one – finished with a hook on one side. To properly immobilize the load, two attachment points are necessary to attach the belt hooks. These may be points with a load-to-ground relationship in the case of simple belt fastening or a ground-to-ground relationship in the case of lashing. After connecting its two parts, it is tensioned using a tensioner.

Ends of the fastening transport belt. In the standard version, our 4-ton, 50 mm fastening transport belt has a double hook (hook with a double claw). We also mark it as termination D1.

Resistance of the lashing transport belt with a tensioner. The basis for determining the operating parameters of a lashing transport belt with a tensioner is its rating label. All technical data can be found there. Each 4-ton transport belt should comply with the PN-EN 12195-2 standard and its label should confirm this. The most important technical parameters that should be included on its label are:

LC – lashing capacity, i.e. the ability to attach the belt. This is the maximum load on the belt at which it will not be damaged yet. Two values are always given, for securing a straight load and for securing a load by lashing. The 4-ton fastening belt with tensioner has an LC parameter of 2000 / 4000 daN (straight/strapping), i.e. 2 / 4 tons.

SHF – standard hand force, i.e. nominal hand force. This is the maximum tensioning force using the operator's hand at which the tensioner will not be damaged. No extensions, etc. should be used to operate the tensioner lever. The transport belt with a 5-ton tensioner has an SHF parameter of 50 daN.

STF – standard tension force, i.e. nominal tension force. This is the force with which the load will be pressed to the ground. This value depends on the design of the tensioner. The more solid the structure, the more it can press the load. The transport belt with a 5-ton tensioner has an STF parameter of 300 daN (300 kg).

LGL – this is the actual length of the transport belt along with its elements such as hooks and tensioner. In the case of two-piece belts, the length of each part of the belt is included on its label, and the total length of the transport belt is the sum of the lengths of both parts and is standardly 6, 8, 10, 12 meters.

The label may also contain other additional information.

a transport belt in the European Union cannot include the CE marking on the label,

the standard European does not specify or require the use-by date of the transport belt,

the color of the transport belt tape does not reflect its strength.
