Safety skid with a spiral and carabiner
A safety skid is a device that immediately turns off the stationary engine, outboard engine or jet ski in a dangerous situation (e.g. in the event of falling overboard). The skidder should be attached to the ignition cut-off device (usually mounted in the handlebar), and the other end should be placed on the hand or attached to the helmsman's clothing using a carabiner.
