Cylinder head of the engine of LS Tractor tractors of the LS U43, LS U50, LS U60 series.
What is it is the cylinder head? The cylinder head is an element usually mounted on the top of the engine, containing the combustion chamber and intake valves responsible for supplying the mixture of fuel and air needed for the proper operation of the engine. The engine head contains oil and water channels and sensors that monitor the parameters oil pressure and coolant temperature.
Damage to the cylinder head in a tractor A damaged engine head is often the result of very large changes in the engine operating temperature, e.g. engine overheating. Head damage may be caused by a very large loss of coolant, running the engine at high speed when it is not warmed up, or flooding the hot engine with cold coolant. Another common problem with the engine head is the burning of the head gasket, which causes the system to leak and mix operating fluids.

The first signs of sparing the engine head are the mixing of operating fluids, visible, for example, in the coolant expansion tank. White coating around the coolant filler cap, loss of engine power, higher fuel consumption are common symptoms of a blown head gasket.
