AEAT-8811 Programmable Angular Magnetic Encoders Broadcom AEAT-8811 Programmable Angular Magnetic Encoders are available in 10, 12, 14, or 16 bits of absolute resolution with no offset calibration. These magnetic encoder ICs provide accurate angular measurement over 360° of rotation. The AEAT-8811 Encoders utilize integrated hall sensor elements with complex analog and digital signal processing within a single device. The simple two-pole magnet generates the necessary magnetic field by rotating it perpendicularly and placing it in alignment with the center of the device. These encoders are user-programmable with zero position and direction, and the index width can select a zero latency mode option.
