About the manufacturer PROMOT is a Polish manufacturer of lamps for lighting motor vehicles, trailers, tractors and agricultural machinery.

The PROMOT Automotive Accessories Plant was established in 1950 in Białystok, Podlaskie Voivodeship, as a manufacturer of lamps with plastic shades for most vehicles manufactured in socialist Poland.

The plant produced lighting for URSUS, STAR, JELCZ, Warsaw and Nysa. Another interesting fact is that PROMOT produced rear lamps for motorcycles manufactured at the Communication Equipment Factory in Świdnik (popular WSK). At that time, the company that specialized in the production of headlights and halogen lamps with glass lenses was Zelmot.

After a period of prosperity (during the times of the Polish People's Republic, the company employed almost 400 people), difficult times came for the company. The company was not prepared for the changing political and economic conditions that occurred in Poland after 1989. The possibility of importing cars from abroad, lack of demand for domestic products, and the emergence of competition meant that the existing PROMOT products had no chance of being sold.

During the period of political changes, PROMOT was transformed into a Work Cooperative and took up the challenge posed by the market. The cooperative formula allowed the company to survive, but did not allow it to return to its glory days. At the beginning of 2018, PROMOT was transformed into a modern and capitalized company ready to take on challenges in the field of lamp production for the automotive industry, in the field of construction and production of injection molds, production of special-purpose plastic mixtures and trade in products intended for converting cars to run on alternative fuels LPG and CNG.
