About the manufacturer MAGNETON is a brand known all over the world as a manufacturer of electrical equipment for motor vehicles, such as alternators, starters and relays.

It is located in Kroměříž in Eastern Bohemia, 57 km from Brno and 100 km from Cieszyn.

The company was established in 1926 as a manufacturer of electromagnetic ignition products and then electric motor devices for cars (Skoda, Tatra).

Nationalized in 1945, it produced, as one of the the first producers in the world, contactless electronic ignition products and, since 1987, contactless semiconductor ignition for four-cylinder engines.

In 1994, MAGNETON became a listed joint-stock company and in 1999 it became a commercial partner of the American company John Deere.

In 2010, 100% of the shares were taken over by the Czech group Rovina Group as, in whose portfolio MAGNETON is one of several companies representing many different trade and production industries.
