ISO7420 / ISO7420M Dual Digital Isolators The Texas Instruments ISO7420 and ISO7420M dual digital isolators feature a highest signaling rate of up to 250 Mbps and low power consumption of 2.2mA at 25Mbps and 4.2mA at 100Mbps. When used with isolated power supplies, the TI ISO7420 and ISO7420M dual digital isolators prevent noise currents on a data bus or other circuit from entering the local ground and interfering with or damaging sensitive circuitry. These TI digital isolators have TTL input thresholds and require two supply voltages from 3V to 5.5V or any combination. All inputs are 5V tolerant when supplied from a 3V supply. The ISO7420 and ISO7420M are designed for use as optocoupler replacement in industrial fieldbus, servo control interface, motor control, power supplies, and battery packs.
