Organic Fibre Plug® Receptacle Mill-Max Organic Fibre Plug® (OFP®)Receptacle is a discrete socket for through-hole soldering into printed circuit boards. The open bottom Organic Fibre Plug® Receptacle from Mill-Max is fitted with organic fibre plugs to prevent solder, paste or flux from contaminating the internal contact during the placing and soldering process. This receptacle series now offers 14 sizes/styles, 13 of which have standard tape & reel packaging that permits through-hole components to be placed simultaneously with surface mount parts on pick-'n-place assembly lines, eliminating the need to hand place the receptacle in an additional manufacturing step. The knock-out-bottom feature of OFP® solder barrier receptacles enable them to be made relatively short compared to similar receptacles, creating important advantages when working with SMT boards. New! Mill-Max Organic Fibre Plug® (OFP®) Receptacle product line has been expanded to include the #4 contact receptacle, this smaller receptacle fits .008-.013 diameter pins. The OFP Receptacle series maintains a clean and reliable electric connection by decreasing the risks of contaminants during the soldering process.
