P4WSM BISTABLE CAR RELAY Principle of operation: After the control signal ('-' 12V pulse) appears on the control input 1, the relay will close contacts 3 and 5.

The re-appearance of the control signal will change the relay state to the opposite (off) ) i.e. it will open contacts 3 and 5.

In other words: each appearance of a control pulse at input 1 changes the relay state to the opposite (closed/open).

Thus, each control pulse (-) given to input 1 will cause the appearance or loss (depending on the current state of the relay) of voltage (+) at output number 5.

The effect of the relay operation is the closing and opening of the power supply contact (3) with the output contact (5).

Relay dimensions: The P4WSM relay series is based on the proven, recognized and valued 4-WSM bistable relays for years. In the new version, in accordance with the suggestions of most users, contacts 3 and 4 have been connected (bridged). This solution simplifies installation, saves time and ensures trouble-free connection of the relay. Additionally, unlike its predecessors, the new series is enclosed in much smaller housings, which differ only slightly from the commonly used mini relays. Thanks to this, P4WSM relays can be successfully used in boxes and housings in which the previous generation simply did not fit. Below, as an example, we present photos of the MTA box (ID658) in which two relays from the new series can be easily used.
