The Mikroe Audio Amp 5 Click is based on the TPA3138D2 class-D integrated amplifier. The amplifier utilizes a highly efficient switching scheme. The click allows for longer operation and improved thermal performance with about 20mA in idle mode. This makes it a perfect choice for various battery-powered applications. Advanced EMI Suppression with Spread Spectrum Control allows the use of ferrite bead filters instead of bulky inductors. The TPA3138D2 IC is equipped with protection features, allowing a reliable operation.
