ADS1018 12-bit ADC and Temp Sensor Texas Instruments ADS1018 12-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and temperature sensor is designed with precision, power, and ease of implementation in mind. TI ADS1018 features an integrated voltage reference and oscillator. An SPI-compatible serial interface transfers data. This TI ADC operates from a single power supply ranging from 2.0V to 5.5V. It can perform conversions at rates up to 3300 samples per second. A programmable gain amplifier is integrated in ADS1018 that offers input ranges from as low as ±256mV up to the supply rails, allowing both large and small signals to be measured with high resolution. ADS1018 also features an input multiplexer that provides two differential or four single-ended inputs. ADS1018 can also function as a high-accuracy temperature sensor. This temperature sensor can be used for system-level temperature monitoring or cold-junction compensation for thermocouples.
